| “She-wolf”
Her fur
Very bright
Her song
Curls into the night
Her eyes
Yellow like the moon
Her songs
Will end soon
For morning brings light
Birds will take her song away
She runs off
So they can always have their way
She likes to sing to the diamonds in the sky
These diamonds are what we call stars
Though we still kill wolves
Sometimes with our cars
They live for only one reason
And one reason alone
They want to be answered
With a heavenly tone
She walks the very ground that we live on
And breathes the very breath we breathe
She could kill us
With her savagely teeth
But she just waits for night to fall
And pads along
So she can entertain the moon
With her mysterious song | |
